Loblolly pine is the leading commercial timber species in the southern United States and is the most common species of pine found on Anderson-Tully Lumber Company land holdings. Loblolly pine most commonly occurs in pure stands but may be found in association with sweetgum, oaks, and yellow poplar. Loblolly pine grows very well on a wide range of soils and site conditions and may reach heights of 100’+ with diameters up to 24’.
Wood Facts
Strong and durable, with excellent nail holding properties, Pine is the ideal construction lumber. Commonly used for timbers, joists, rafters, flooring, paneling, and siding. It is also the ideal choice for pressure treating.
